Good Friday 2022

Good Friday Vigil, Chapel

On the night before his crucifixion, Jesus took his followers to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray.  They were overcome with weariness and could not stay awake to pray with him in his moment of need.  Shortly thereafter, the soldiers came to take him away.

This Holy Week, First Presbyterian Church is holding a Vigil of Unbroken Prayer in remembrance of all that Jesus suffered and gave in the 24 hours before his death.  We are inviting members and friends to devote a half hour to prayer throughout Good Friday by signing up for a time-slot on the chart which follows.  More than one person may sign up for each slot.  Our purpose is to provide an offering of unbroken prayer between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (while Jesus hung upon the cross) for Christ and the world this Good Friday. Please sign up today!

If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Seccombe at sseccombe@firstchurchlf.org.
