First Pres offers various resources that may be of help to you. If you would like to be of help, we have opportunities for you to serve as well.
First Pres offers pastoral care to support one another in daily living, especially at times of need or crisis. Our pastors work to provide confidential care to those facing life's spiritual, emotional, and physical challenges.
If you have a need, please contact Pastor Kristie Finley at email@example.com or 224.544.1967.
If you would like to share or request a prayer from one of our pastors, you can use our Prayer Connections ministry. If you would like to include your email address, one of our pastors will be in touch with you.
“It is the duty of Deacons, first and foremost, to minister to those in need, to the sick, to the friendless and to any who may be in distress. Deacons do this by providing internal ministry to the needs of our congregation, inspiring and expanding congregational awareness and providing external ministry to those in need within Lake County.”
See below for a list of ministries we serve.
We re-pot flowers from worship and deliver them to church members unable to leave their homes or are living in local nursing homes on Sundays, after worship. To learn more, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Elders and Deacons serve communion to home-bound church members each month. To receive communion, email email@example.com.

The group blesses each shawl with prayer before presenting it, with a card expressing the hopes and thoughts of the creators and all Presbyterian Women. The group meets on Tuesdays from 1 – 2 p.m. Contact email@example.com for info.

Military Caring Ministry
First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest believes that our Christian faith compels us to demonstrate God’s compassion, love and healing to all—which includes the military community. First Pres is a military-supporting congregation. If you or a family member are a member of the military (active or reserve) or a veteran who worships here (occasionally or regularly), we’d like to get to know you! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Our Military Caring Ministry hosts several events throughout the year, including Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day remembrance programs. We also partner with the First Pres Rummage ministry and Military Outreach USA (a national veterans support organization) to donate a broad range of items to previously homeless veterans to furnish their new housing. Our Military Caring Ministry members also assist with other ministries at First Pres.
If you are in need of a counselor or therapist, please contact one of our pastors or the SamaraCare Counseling at 630.357.2456, ext. 136.
