First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest’s Fall Rummage Sale to Showcase Top-Notch Items at Affordable Prices

For Immediate Release

Lake Forest, Ill. – Sept. 12, 2016 – First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest’s Fall Rummage Sale promises to have top-quality items at affordable prices. Shoppers will have floors and floors of trinkets and treasures to peruse—from Legos® to designer clothes; shoes to holiday goods; furniture, home decor and more. The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 700 N Sheridan Road in Lake Forest.

For those in need of moving help, Two Men and a Truck will be on hand to provide free delivery service for large or bulky items as far North as Waukegan, as far West as I-94 and as far South as Lake Cook Road. Delivery will be available for purchases made before 12 p.m. Each customer can have a maximum of four pieces delivered.

Staffed by volunteers, the church collects thousands of clean, usable items throughout the year, sorts and organizes these items to get them ready for the Fall and Spring sales. Since its inception in 1950, the Rummage Sales have raised and given away more than $5 million to First Presbyterian’s mission and non-profit partners.  Grants are awarded each year to more than 40 local and global partner organizations that provide shelter and nutrition to families in crisis; enhance educational opportunities for at-risk students; and offer hope and wholeness to vulnerable and broken people.

On sale day, shoppers can park in the Lake Forest city lots and on the street, unless otherwise marked as a “no parking” zone. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted.
