This summer in worship we will be focusing on the parables­—those stories of Jesus which are often filled with surprises and unexpected reversals of fortune. These parables teach us about the Christian life and, especially, the Kingdom of Heaven (that time and place where everything is the way that God wants it to be).

On Sundays at 11:10 AM, from June 16 through August 25, the preacher of the day will lead a Bible study in the South Parlor on the parable that is the center of that morning’s worship service. Grab a snack from coffee hour and make your way into the discussion! We will use Amy-Jill Levine’s book Short Stories by Jesus as a springboard to conversation whenever this work tackles the parable of the day.
