Children’s Ministry

For children ages 3 years through 4th grade, September through May

Children start the morning in worship with their families and leave for Sunday School in the upstairs classrooms following the Blessing of the Children for a time of Bible lessons and exploration. On Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of the month) we will meet in the Chapel and join our families in worship for Communion. We have implemented the curriculum from Storymakers NYC.

Sign-up is now required for Sunday school. Please register your child(ren) on Church Center and be sure to enter each child’s date of birth. Upon check-in, you will receive two stickers, one for your child to wear and one for you to use for pick-up after worship.

To create a Church Center login, follow these steps:

1. Download the Church Center app from the App Store or Google Play
2. Select First Presbyterian Lake Forest and enter your mobile number
3. You'll receive a code to log in
4. On the Home tab, tap the circle with your initial in the top right corner
5. Under My Profile & Settings, verify the information for you and your family members
6. Add photos to each profile, if you'd like
7. Then go to Calendar to see what's coming up or Sign-ups to register for anything of interest

Once you have the app downloaded, please fill out this form to register your child.

From the end of May through August, we host "Playground Church" where kids start off in the sanctuary and then go outside to the playground for a lesson and playtime. On Communion Sunday (1st Sunday of the month), kids go to the playground for the sermon and return during communion.
