In-person Worship Resumes Sunday, February 14

In light of the move to Tier One status for Lake and McHenry Counties this week, the Session voted at its January 25 meeting to authorize the return to in-person worship in February. The Staff is now preparing for in-person Sunday Morning Worship starting on February 14 and continuing each Sunday thereafter as conditions permit.

All safety protocols will be in effect for this return including:

  • mandatory wearing of face masks within the building
  • social distancing
  • hand-sanitizing
  • refraining from congregational singing

We are hopeful and prayerful that more and more of us will be receiving the vaccine in the weeks ahead.  Until we do, it is more important than ever to refrain from participating in any kind of gatherings if you have health or age-related vulnerabilities, or if you are experiencing any symptoms of infection yourselves.  Please stay home and stay safe!

Our Sunday and Wednesday services will continue to be live-streamed, and the campus itself will remain closed until March except by appointment. You can find more information about what to expect when coming to church by watching the Reopening video.

Sunday morning worship will be limited to 25% occupancy or roughly 100 persons each week. You will need to register in advance to attend, beginning at 12:00 PM on the Sunday before you are planning to attend.  Walk-ins will be seated when registrations permit or during the first Hymn to make up for no-shows.

We pray that the gift of being together again in worship will fill us with comfort and joy, and deepen our faith in the One who will see us through to the end of this dreadful pandemic.
