Boys & Girls Club Meals

Thanks to our own work trip volunteers, the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County was ready to open their doors this past Tuesday, supporting 30 of the communities most at risk youth. Club doors open at 7:30am until 7:00pm and assist youth during the school day with their online classes and tutoring help. In addition to school support the Club youth are given breakfast, lunch, dinner and several snacks during the day. Normally the meals are primarily provided by the Northern Illinois Food Bank, however, the Club has been notified that the food bank will only be able to provide one meal each day for the next four to six weeks. The Boys & Girls Club needs your help to provide food for 30 children and teens! The following list will help fill the stomachs and food void in the Club’s support program. We would like to obtain as many of the food items as possible over the next 4 days to deliver to the Club. If you are able to contribute food or would like to support this food effort, you may drop off your donations in the stairwell by the Deerpath parking lot entrance.
