Joy Ride Advent Scavenger Hunt + Christmas Open House

Sunday, December 5, 3:00 – 6:00 PM

Join us for our Joy Ride Scavenger Hunt and Christmas Open House! Come to the Manse for fellowship and treats between 3:00 to 5:30 PM, and if you are participating in the scavenger hunt, meet us at the Deerpath parking lot. Participants will be provided with a list of stops with addresses and items to spy. The scavenger hunt ends at the Manse to celebrate with hot cocoa, and you are invited to stay to sing Christmas carols with us at 5:30 PM!

Annual Women’s Christmas Tea

This year’s Women’s Christmas Tea Mission Partner is the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County. Join us for the Tea’s annual program in the Sanctuary, and bring home a Tea-inspired favor! Christmas Caroling with Clint

Sunday, December 12, 3:00 – 5:00 PM

Share Christmas cheer and sing Christmas carols to our homebound with Pastor Clint aboard a school bus! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors. Afterwards, we head back to the church for some coffee, hot chocolate, and treats!



A Christmas Concert

Wednesday, December 15, 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary and live-stream on Online ChurchFacebook, and YouTube

The Sanctuary Choir, instrumental ensemble, and the Lakeminster Ringers Bell Choir will usher in the Christmas season through lessons and music from the Piae Cantiones (holy songs), the oldest Swedish song book for schools. This collection was first published in 1582 and several of the Christmas carols from this book were arranged in 1962 by the Swedish composer Anders Öhrwall for the Youth Choir of the Swedish Radio. The concert will be in the form of a lessons and carols service, with readings from scripture and some congregational carol singing.

Longest Night Taize Service

We have a tradition of gathering on the longest night, when there are more hours of darkness than light. It’s a time to come together for prayers and laments, to mourn the losses and griefs of the year, to let the tears flow for the hurting places in our lives, as well as for our country and our world. If you are joining us via livestream at home, please have some matches and a candle with you to join in the liturgy.
