Adult Singing Choir

The Sanctuary Choir meets on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9:30 p.m. High school-aged and adult singers are encouraged to come and sing—no audition required. The Sanctuary Choir leads worship at the 9 and 11 a.m. services on a varying schedule. They have special performances on a Sunday in Advent, Christmas Eve, Easter and a spring concert. All are welcome! Contact Dr. Thomas J. Adult and Youth Handbell Choirs

First Presbyterian’s music ministry offers two adult handbell choirs and one youth chime choir.

The Lakeminster Ringers meets on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This experienced group of ringers play in worship once a month and for special church and community events.

The Chancel Bells also meets on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. This group includes both experienced ringers and beginners. If you are interested in learning a new skill and having a lot of fun, this is the group for you! The Chancel Bells play in worship approximately once a month.

Children grades 3 through 8 play in our Youth Chime Choir on Tuesdays 5 to 5:30 p.m. There are up to 10 ringing positions to fill! No previous musical experience required. The children participate in worship monthly and at various special services.

Children’s Choirs

Our children’s choirs welcome children age 4 through 8th grade. The children participate in worship monthly, sing on Christmas Eve and present a musical during worship in February. No previous musical experience required. All are welcome to come! Rehearsals begin in early September.

  • Children age 4 through Kindergarten sing in our Cherub Choir, which meets on Tuesdays from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m.
  • Children grades 1 through 4 are in our Carol Choir, which meets on Tuesdays from 4:15 to 5 p.m.
  • Children grades 3 through 8 play in our Youth Chime Choir, Tuesday 5 to 5:30 p.m. (There are up to 10 ringing positions to fill!)
  • Children grades 5 through 8 are invited to join Middle School Choir, which meets on Sundays from 10:15 to 10:50 a.m.
